I think you can not compare a personal trainer and what Steve Cook does.Steve Cook gives his way of training and tips about nutrition/training. The rest you need too fill in what is good for your body.
A personal trainer will look at your goals, stats, ect and will make a personal training plan and nutrition plan just for your body.
I love the way how Steve is training and take us behind his training and nutrition tips. The first weeks was very good, especially the training schedules. But now its a mess. I don’t know what he is training.
Is it still the split training? with Monday ( chest, triceps, abs) Tuesday ( back, biceps, calves, cardio) Wednesday ( delta, legs) and Thursday, Friday, Saturday the same but than on volume instant of strength? and Sunday still hit cardio?
He did mention in his last videos that he is “changing things up on you guys so quick”. Right now he’s training a each body part a day, which means he trains 6 days a week with Sunday off.
He isn’t doing the “twice a week bodypart” split. That doesn’t mean he won’t go back to it in a few weeks.
He also mentioned in his last video that the reason for changing it all up is so it doesn’t become repetitive, boring and he wants his body to keep guessing.
My advice from is to do the “twice a week split” for 3-4 weeks then change up to “1 body part / day” split for another 3-4 weeks and just go back and forth between them. If you will try to do EXACTLY what Steve is doing, you will get lost and confused.
And regarding HIIT, see what works for you. And it also depends on your goal. 1-2 HIIT, 1-2 LISS is ALWAYS a good amount of cardio unless you’re an ecto and you need to save up your calories.

For all of you complaining about the small fee that is monthly, a personal trainer at any large gym is going to be about $45/half hour to an hour. That is about a half a year of Steve’s info and videos and I can tell you from experience, Steve’s videos and workouts have been great and FAR more knowledgeable than your everyday personal trainer and FAR cheaper. You know how busy he has got to be training, providing content, traveling to shows, and making sure he is ready for the Olympia? I am happy at the fairly constant rate at which we are getting content. Maybe some of you should try watching his “Things Happy People do Differently”.
The few things I’ve learnt from following Steve are priceless.. more than happy to pay a small fee in return! Signing out from South Africa!

Everybody needs to hop off Steve’s D*** he’s not your boyfriend, personal trainer, or life coach. Read a book, fitness mag or look on BB.com. Personal trainers charge so much more for 1 30min-1hr session per week! Be grateful, be inspired, but most of all retain some knowledge and stop relying on Steve to hold your hand and make you fit. He’s even said it himself in a nice way… Put in what you hope to achieve.

Exactly! He’s given us so many tools and a full workout regimen to last for a very long time. Do BMOC, then try his split, and switch up exercises while still working the same bodypart. Didn’t he originally promised 4 workout videos a month anyway? (Which he has been doing.) I really like how he posted a workout video on a day when he felt like he didn’t want to work out because we all feel like that sometimes. Keep up the good work Steve and Layne! I would love some fashion/style or cooking episodes. Maybe you guys should create a common questions page with set answers.

Steve spends his time putting up different workouts, pay for camera man plus editing the video. ( Which is not cheap) and you only have to pay $7 for a whole month and you guy are complaining that your not getting some thing everyday.
Instead of complaining all the time – why not be totally grateful for such a low price and you get all this and remember its the smaller details that count and that’s what you get a premium member.

Well now I’m sick were is Mondays Tuesdays workout and all the rest of the days training plans I’m giving this 1 month and then I’m leaving. The number of people that have complained is unreal

Just have something to say to the people who seem “lost” on how to continue the workouts.
If you enjoy the split that Steve is doing (training every part twice a week, except quads & hams), then keep that up. Keep the same split and notice the muscles targeted with each exercise.
For example, if you are “supposed” to do Incline DB Press, you could switch it up to an Incline Smith Machine or an Incline Bench Press. Although it does have certain differences, it still primarily targets the same areas.

^^ Yes totally agree, I understand Steve busy/training for Olympia etc..but don’t charge people for content that we can get on every other fitness website for free.
This is really POOR FORM on your part STEVE!
The same workout split can be maintained for months, but you should vary your daily routine. The problem I have is that I am paying for a service I am not receiving. Daily workouts were promised, but have not been consistently provided. I understand Steve is busy, but he should have considered these things before he began charging money.
A routine is supposed to be maintained for 9-12 weeks and not constantly changed up every two weeks. Should there be more customer support? Yes, I agree, but also understand that Steve is probably doing this on his own and doesn’t have an assistant to answer every possible question. I honestly believe what he’s doing is literally impossible. VBlog, Twitter, Youtube, Personal site and etc. That’s a lot of social interaction for one person. Also, as I read some of the questions on here, I wonder if some people do any actual research. Whenever I have a question about health/fitness I google my question, also read Menshealth, Mensfitness, Muscle&Fitness, Reps, and etc and there’s also bodybuilding.com.
-On a side note, keep it up Steve.
Not to ruin your party or anything but reading magazines will not answer questions. Magazines are only made for advertising and encouraging misleading principles.
Read actual research articles and journals. They actually have science behind them and people with degrees write them.
And I agree that a split can be maintained for a few months as long as you switch up the exercises every 2-3 weeks but still keep the same targeted areas.
we understand thats its hard but if it was impossible he shouldnt of promised it! he said he has a camera crew and everything and hes using the money we pay him monthly to pay them! i love steve he inspires me but hes turning us down! we subscribed cuz of the stuff he said he will put up! im not willing 2 pay someone 7.99 a month jus cuz he inspires me when he has videos other places on youtube! i honestly hope he picks it up by the end of this month

It’s stuff like that that will cause members to unsubscribe which is sad because I know Steve has the best intentions but it seems like the promises made and the premium content promised is not as accurate as mentioned.
Steve, I really appreciate what you are trying to do, but I feel that you should not be charging for services that you cannot consistently deliver. The promised “daily” workouts have not been daily and paying premium members receive an insufficient response, if any at all, in the comments section. Again, I appreciate what you are trying to do, but some of your paying premium members are unsatisfied with the lack of premium content and customer service.
Probably going to be quite a few cancellations this month. A little disappointing

What is your opinion on using muscle energy as a pre-workout stretching technique? I’ve been using it before leg days with pretty good results, but wanted to know if there are more effective options.

sup steve, i watched one of your videos and it was the one where you asked what earphones are good. bose sie2 headphones or bose ie2 headphones are really good. they stay in your ear when running or working out. little pricey though.
